Hello! My name is Ngozi Edeh, and I am a Master's-level Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at Northwestern University. In counseling, I encourage the development, preventative care, and overall wellness of clients who may experience anything from minor life adjustments to major life crises. Upon graduating, I plan to work with the teen to adulthood population in the Chicagoland area, collaborating on building a strong therapeutic alliance, goal setting and achievement, employing assessments, and diagnosis as needed. I look forward to supporting a diverse clientele who may experience a variety of mental health concerns.
I focus primarily on a multicultural and trauma-informed integrative approach to counseling, combining principles found in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy. I am passionate about working with clients to build resilience, highlight strengths, and empower them to gain control over their personal narrative. I am eager to embark on this journey toward becoming a licensed professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
