Life can feel overwhelming at times, whether you’re navigating school or work, the challenges of
parenthood, or the complexities of relationships. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I’m here
to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences, and work toward finding balance, clarity and peace in your life.
I specialize in helping individuals manage anxiety, stress and trauma, as well as supporting those dealing with chronic illness, family dynamics and the unique pressures that come with being a bit different. I believe in looking at the whole picture when it comes to health and wellness, and my curiosity drives me to explore all aspects of well-being, both mental and physical, to create a more integrated approach to healing. This approach is tailored to your individual needs, incorporating a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and trauma-informed care.
I hold a B.A. from DePaul University and an M.A. from Lewis University, and I’m trained in both
Psychological First Aid and Mental Health First Aid and am a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP).
These qualifications, combined with my passion for supporting others, allow me to provide a well-
rounded approach to therapy.
As a musician myself, I understand the power of self-expression and I’m passionate about helping clients tap into their own creativity as a form of healing. I work with clients of all ages—from children as young as six to adults—and am open to involving family members as needed to help foster healing and support.
I understand the bravery and vulnerability that goes into taking the first step on your therapeutic journey. I am here to support you every step of the way, helping you build the tools, resilience, and insight needed to achieve the life you desire.
I believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience. I work with each individual to create a plan that
feels authentic and empowering for their healing process. In our work together, you can expect a
collaborative, compassionate environment where your voice is heard and your unique experience is
honored.
Outside of my professional life, I’m deeply involved in volunteering and coaching. I am also passionate
about supporting cancer research through various events, as I believe in the power of community to bring about meaningful change. When I’m not in session, I’m a wife, a mom of two, and the proud parent of two rescue dogs—BoBo Ricketts and Mylee Snicketts. I’m also a big fan of sunsets, tattoos and coffee (though not necessarily all at the same time). I offer both in-person, virtual/telehealth and phone therapy options for client convenience, within the state of Illinois.
If you’re unsure if we’re the right fit, I offer a free consultation to help you decide if therapy with me
would be a good match for your needs. If you’re ready to take the next step toward healing, please reach out. I look forward to meeting you!
